One question for steel structure connection

How many connecting methods for steel structure, what kind of occasion for each?
Connection method for steel structure: Welding, riveting and bolting.
Riveting is straggled these days.
Welding is not good for dynamic loading structure, also hard for construction.
Bolting consumes more bolts, very hard surface treatment.
