Steel structure density

Q: I wonder the density of steel structure, i’m totally a newbie in this field, thanks a lot.
A: Structural Steel weight depends on its diameter when you talk of reinforcement bars and will also depends on the shape of the steel when you talk about steel beams, channels and others.
Commercially, we calculate structural steel in terms of length. Every steel has its unit weight which has a unit of kg/m^3..
If you know the length and the type of the steel, you can easily compute its weight.
